Entrance of the Orange Garden

Entrance of the Giardino degli Aranci (Orange Garden) as known as the Parco Savello (Savello park) located on the Aventine Hill (easily reachable from Hotel Montecarlo), one of the Seven Roman Hills, from where to enjoy an excellent view of the city. On the right at the entrance you can see the fountain of the mask of Santa Sabina, a real example recycling. Put together only in 1936 it combines an ancient Roman bath tub and a mask which was allegedly designed by the famous architect Giacomo della Porta in the late 16th Century...
